Gorgojo
Estos escarabajos curculiónidos se caracterizan por su largo rostrum que a veces es del tamaño mismo del insecto. Así que ya saben...si alguien les dice que parecen un gorgojo...preparense que van a tener que pelear. :-)

Si es ese, dejenme decirle que todos nos hemos comido cientos de este feo escarabajo,pues pasan desapercibidos dentro de los granos que comemos(entiendase Maiz, habichuelas,garbanzos,guandules etc.
Tiene alguna relacion con el escarabajo del coco. El "Catarron" o abejon de cocos, ese que se aloja en la raiz de los cocos y termina con la planta?
Yo recuerdo que cuando pequeno me pagaban 1 centavo por cada cabeza de "Grillo" que pudiera matar en una plantacion de Lechugas(Hortaliza)en el campo. Las cosas han subido de precios. Tengo un amigo que paga 100 pesos por cada "Catarron de coco" en un cocal de San Fco de Macoris.Esto parece facil... revisa la mata, ve que hay una cuevita y ahi esta el animal.Lo malo es que aveces haces el trabajo de busqueda y no esta. Esto te puede tomar dos horas para encontrar uno y ganarte esos 100 pelucones. Quien se anima?? La oferta esta abierta.
